Welcome to the Pelican Lounge & Haig Hall at Newbury Royal British Legion Club website. The club is in the heart of Newbury Town Centre and will always welcome families and friends and new members. Membership is not just for Service Men or Women past or present, it’s open to everyone, just contact the club for an application form.
We offer a range of traditional pub sports, including Pool table, several Dart Boards and a Skittle Alley and there is Bingo twice weekly (Tuesday & Friday) and a Quiz every Sunday.
Every month several local clubs including Armed Services Associations use the club as a meeting point.
Our capable staff can cater for Weddings, Birthdays, Anniversaries, Wakes and Business Meetings. They can provide refreshments from a finger buffet to table service dinners at very competitive prices.
0f you are looking for a venue for your Wedding Reception, Birthday Party, Wake, Business Meeting or Anniversary Do, then why not look at the facilities offered by the club.
Our 100 seat capacity hall has a dance floor and stage, perfect for dancing the night away to a disco or a live band. Our experienced catering staff will look after you with our fully equipped kitchen.

Branch Fee** – £22.00 +
Club Fee – £10.00
Total Fee – £32.00 per person per year
(Renewal is due one year after joining)
*Under 18’s will be Youth Members
** Branch Membership will increase by £2.00 every September over the next 4 years.
